Federal grand jury indicts man after shooting on I-485 ramp in southwest Charlotte
CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A federal grand jury in Charlotte has indicted a man on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in connection to an interstate shooting. The violent incident occurred on January 8, 2025, when Anil Dabydeen, 39, of Charlotte, allegedly shot at vehicles on Interstate 485 in southwest Charlotte. HICKORY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Hickory Police say they are investigating the death of a young man who was found dead Thursday night. Just before 10 p.m. on Feb. 21, officers arrived at the 1400 block of 29th Avenue Drive NE, a residential area, where they found 22-year-old Mason Cole Pridemore dead in a vehicle. CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man is facing serious charges after sending a series of threatening emails to Charlotte area schools, according to Mecklenburg County documents. Court records state the emails, sent to various educational institutions, communicated specific threats of mass violence at multiple schools, including West Charlotte High School, Ardrey Kell High School, Community House Middle School, and Hawk Ridge Elementary School.
