The incident occurred at the 7700 block of Portage Avenue, with officers responding to a call about a person being shot shortly after 9 a.m. Aaron McClinton, aged 26, was found at the location and was taken to a nearby hospital by the officers, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
