YORK COUNTY, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Deputies are responding to a shooting off Carowinds Boulevard, the York County Sheriff’s Office reports. It is unclear when and where the shooting happened; however, officials first reported the incident around 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, stating that a shooting investigation was underway outside of one of the Circle K gas stations. One person was taken to the hospital. Officials did not say what led up to the shooting or if a suspect has been arrested. There are a large number of deputies at the scene, YCSO says.
