The U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, in a report released this week, noted rising food prices in nearly every category. The largest percentage increase was in types of eggs: free-range/organic eggs would see a more than 80% spike in prices while other eggs would see a more than 41% increase in 2025. The Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office has announced the indictment of 49-year-old James Ernest Hancock Jr. for the murder of Matthew Thomas, which occurred in October 2023.
