Medical personnel responded to the 1200 block of Lucky Penny Street around 9 p.m. Saturday and say one person was found dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been released. Medical personnel were called to the intersection of The Plaza and Wilann Drive around 8 p.m. on Saturday. Medics say seven people were taken to the hospital, four of whom had serious injuries. Narcotics agents with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, Lenoir Police Department, Watauga County Sheriff’s Office and the NCSBI executed a search warrant on a home on Bee Mountain Road on Feb. 26.
