Jeremiah Downing,Hunter LaGrange Obituary, Death; – Two people died after a crash on Bluebonnet Boulevard and Nicholson Drive following a pursuit through St. Gabriel, according to officials. The St. Gabriel Police Department said around 6:30 p.m., a vehicle was observed as going at a high rate of speed through St. Gabriel. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, which accelerated, refused to yield or stop for police lights. Later, the vehicle crashed in Baton Rouge. Jammie Blevins Obituary, Death; – The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office identified the man who was found dead in a dumpster outside of fast food restaurant in Camp Washington. According to the coroner’s sheet, the man is 37-year-old Jammie Blevins. On Wednesday morning, Cincinnati police began investigating Blevins’ death when his body was found in a Wendy’s dumpster on Hopple Street shortly before 2:30 a.m. Police were at the scene for several hours. Officers told NEWSCHAIN that Blevins’ death appeared to be accidental and foul play is not suspected. The coroner’s office said his cause of death is pending.
Shaun Daniel Brauner Obituary, Death; – Authorities said they have identified a homicide victim whose remains were discovered in Monroe County nearly 40 years ago. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release Thursday they had identified the remains of Shaun Daniel Brauner, a Detroit man whose family had last seen him in June 1986. KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – One person suffered minor injuries and six people have been displaced following a large house fire in Kannapolis, authorities announced. The Kannapolis Fire Department responded to the late Wednesday night fire at a commercial automotive garage attached to a two-story home along West 9th Street. As emergency crews arrived, firefighters saw smoke coming from the garage, though it was soon determined that the fire started from within the house.
