Markies Turner Obituary, Death; – Toledo authorities report that an individual was fatally shot in the early hours of Sunday, January 12. According to police, a man was shot on Hazelhurst Avenue at approximately 1:00 a.m. Sunday. The victim, identified as 38-year-old Markies Turner, was taken to a local hospital, where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries. The victims of a triple homicide that took place in Pitt County on Friday have been named by the authorities. According to the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office, two residents of Peace Ridge Court, Anthony Gribble, 80, and his wife, Paula Gribble, 76, were shot and killed. A woman from Geneva County has tragically lost her life following a house fire that occurred on Saturday afternoon in Hartford. According to Geneva County Coroner Donny Atkinson, 77-year-old Barbara Carmichael of Hartford perished in the blaze at her residence on Rose Avenue.
