CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Numerous flight delays and cancellations are being seen at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport ahead of winter weather. Snow, ice and freezing rain are expected during a winter storm hitting the Charlotte area Friday afternoon. As of 11:30 a.m. Friday, over 70 flights are delayed and over 690 flights are canceled, according to FlightAware. The airport recommends passengers check the status of their flight before heading to CLT.
