Austin Harrison Obituary, Death; – The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) has confirmed the identity of a motorcyclist who lost his life in a collision on Nolensville Pike on Monday evening.
According to MNPD, 25-year-old Austin Harrison was operating his Harley Davidson on Nolensville Pike at Haywood Lane around 6 p.m. Monday, reportedly at a high rate of speed.
A Honda vehicle, which was making a left turn from the opposite lane, had a green light—though it did not have a green turn arrow—and was in the process of turning when Harrison collided with its passenger side. Both Harrison and two female passengers in the Honda were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where Harrison succumbed to his injuries.
The 20-year-old driver of the Honda received a citation for operating a vehicle without a license; however, authorities have indicated that impairment does not seem to have been a factor for either party involved.
