Ashley Elizabeth Williams Obituary, Woman, 20, struck and killed by car on Outer Banks

Ashley Elizabeth Williams Obituary,  – A Jeep struck and killed a 20-year-old woman in Kill Devil Hills early Friday morning. The incident occurred at 1:08 a.m. at U.S. 158 and Ocean Acres Drive, a busy intersection on the Outer Banks. The pedestrian, identified as Ashley Elizabeth Williams, ran into the path of a 2021 Jeep Wrangler traveling south on U.S. 158. Unfortunately, Williams was not in the crosswalk at the time. Despite the tragic event, investigators found that neither speed nor alcohol played a role in the accident. The driver of the Jeep, a 43-year-old woman from Kill Devil Hills, did not face any charges.
