According to reports from Asheville Police, several homes in South Asheville were targeted in the early hours of the morning. The sound of gunfire shattered the stillness of the night, sending shockwaves through the tightly-knit community. Around 12:43 a.m. on May 25, officers were called to the 300 block of Brooklyn Road to look into reports of gunfire. The culprits had left the site by the time the police arrived. Officers conducting a search of the area discovered 46 round shells and gunshot damage to three different locations, including two houses and two cars.
