Arthur G Breton III Obituary, Death; – The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into a tragic car accident that resulted in the death of a teenager who was riding his bicycle on Tesnow Road.
Dispatchers in Genesee County received a 911 call on Sunday, February 23, shortly after 6:30 PM, regarding a teenager found lying in the roadway by responding patrol units in the Town of Alabama.
The deceased has been identified as 17-year-old Arthur G. Breton III from Corfu, NY. According to investigators, Breton was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a 2022 Chevrolet Blazer.
Authorities report that the driver, along with her son who was a passenger in the vehicle, was traveling north on Tesnow Road when she crested a small hill and failed to see Breton on his bicycle. The impact caused the teenager to be thrown from his bike onto the west shoulder of the road.
The driver immediately stopped to assist Breton and called 911 for help. Emergency personnel from the Pembroke Fire Department and Mercy EMS, among others, arrived at the scene and attempted life-saving measures; however, Breton was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
Investigators have ruled out drugs and alcohol as contributing factors, and no charges have been filed at this time. The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Genesee County Sheriff’s Crash Management Team, continues to investigate the incident.
