Officers and their Aviation Unit pursued the vehicle. Lagos eventually jumped from the vehicle and ran into the woods with a rifle in his hands, CMPD said.
With help from the Aviation Unit, CMPD was able to locate where Lagos dropped the weapon.
Officers sifted through the thick mud and eventually found the rifle.
Lagos has been charged with flee/elude arrest with motor vehicle, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, resisting a public officer, and carrying a concealed weapon.
