Thanks to the generous contributions of family, friends, and community members, $2,530 has been collected towards the $35,000 objective. The most notable contributions are $500 from Margarita Vieyra and Sonya Zendejas, as well as a recent $100 donation from Maria Valdez. The fundraiser was organised by Brenda Vieyra, who wrote, “Hi friends, it is with a heavy heart that we lost a family member yesterday.” Yesterday, my uncle (Toño) passed away unexpectedly. He was undocumented and did not receive the medical attention he required and deserved, as is a fundamental human right. The sole thing we can do at this time is unite, offer mutual support, and pray that he has passed away in tranquilly. Arissa and Karlee Vincent Gabe Palmer also expressed his condolences, with Karlee expressing her sorrow, “I am so sorry to hear that, Brenda!”
