Anthony Shell Obituary, Death; – The individual who tragically lost their life in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 70 late Friday morning, just east of Topeka, has been named.
As reported by the Kansas Highway Patrol, the deceased is identified as Anthony Shell, 58, from Lebanon, Ohio. The incident was recorded at 11:25 a.m. on Friday on the westbound lane of I-70, approximately three miles east of Topeka, near the East Topeka service area of the Kansas Turnpike.
The Kansas Highway Patrol stated that Shell was operating a 2024 Kenworth semitrailer traveling west on I-70 when the vehicle veered off the roadway to the right, colliding with a bridge pillar. Shell, who was the sole occupant of the semi, was declared dead at the scene. The patrol’s online crash log did not provide information regarding whether Shell was utilizing his seat belt at the time of the accident.
