Anthony Bailey Obituary, Death;- On Monday, a 20-year-old man was apprehended in connection with a shooting that occurred last week in Orange Mound, resulting in one fatality, according to law enforcement officials.
Deangelo Alford faces charges of first-degree murder related to the shooting incident that transpired late Friday night on Ethel Street, near Park Avenue and Airways Boulevard, as reported by the Memphis Police Department (MPD). Court documents have identified the deceased individual as Anthony Bailey.
A witness informed investigators that he believed Alford was aggrieved with Bailey due to a prior transaction involving pancakes from IHOP that Alford allegedly did not receive. Furthermore, the witness recounted that prior to the gunfire, he overheard Alford admonishing Bailey with the words, ‘I told you (expletive).’ Following this exchange, two gunshots were fired before Alford fled the scene, according to the records. Subsequently, Alford was taken into custody and charged with the homicide, as stated by the police.
