The 2-year-old Anna Mandanda was reported missing on May 4, 2024, and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) has ceased its search for her after discovering a female toddler’s death in a pond close to her last known location.
Around 3 p.m. on Saturday, Anna was reported missing from the 6900 block of Governors Point Boulevard, which is located in a southwest residential area close to Southport Road and Interstate 69. She weighed 35 pounds, was 3 feet tall, and had brown eyes and black hair, according to the IMPD.
The IMPD began a thorough search for Anna, scouring the neighborhood and requesting that anybody with a Ring doorbell or security camera check their recordings for any indication of the missing child. Despite their best efforts, late on Saturday night, investigators discovered a body in a pond close to Anna’s last known location.
