Angela Davis Obituary, Death; – A third fatality has been confirmed in a tragic accident in Byhalia that occurred over the weekend as a result of a police pursuit, according to officials.
The Marshall County Coroner’s Office announced on Wednesday that a woman named Angela Davis passed away the previous night. She had been in critical condition at Regional One Health in Memphis for several days prior to her death.
Marshall County Sheriff Kenny Dickerson informed FOX13 that Byhalia Police were in pursuit of an SUV on Saturday night when it collided with a Ford F150 at the intersection of St. Paul Road and Dockery Drive, resulting in the deaths of the SUV’s driver and a passenger in the truck. The driver of the SUV was identified as Jaqua Bluiett, while the truck passenger was named Michael Crutcher.
Authorities had previously reported that two other individuals involved in the incident were transported to Regional One in critical condition. As of Wednesday, the circumstances that initiated the police chase remained unclear.
A lawyer representing an officer involved in the pursuit stated to FOX13 that the officer has been placed on paid administrative leave while an investigation is conducted. The officer has been identified as William Langham. As of Wednesday morning, the condition of the fourth victim remains unknown.
