One person is dead following a motorcycle crash in Adams County on Wednesday evening. According to officials, the incident occurred around 6:20 p.m. on Fairfield Road, near Valley View Trail in Carroll Valley Borough.
The Adams County Coroner identified the victim as 48-year-old Andrew Adelsberger from Maryland. The coroner’s report states that Adelsberger was riding his motorcycle westbound when he lost control and crashed. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple blunt force injuries, and the death has been ruled accidental.
There is no autopsy scheduled for Adelsberger. The crash resulted in the closure of Fairfield Road for approximately one hour while authorities conducted their investigation and cleared the scene.
The incident highlights the importance of motorcycle safety and awareness on the roads. The Carroll Valley Borough Police Department is likely to continue its investigation to determine whether there were any additional contributing factors to the crash.
