Andrea Martinez Obituary, Death; – The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has reported that the coroner’s office has confirmed the identity of a shooting victim from January 1, New Year’s Day.
According to CSPD, officers responded shortly after midnight to the 5800 block of Oakwood Boulevard, where they discovered a deceased female, later identified as 35-year-old Andrea Martinez.
CSPD noted that this incident marks the first homicide in Colorado Springs for the year 2025, occurring approximately 30 minutes after the city celebrated the arrival of the new year.
