Amy Kirby’s child found her on Monday morning, even though she had passed away since the previous day. A woman who read a great deal was named her. Amy is survived by her parents, Robert and Linda Kirby, who reside in Young Harris, Georgia; her brother, Charles Tallent, also resides in Young Harris, Georgia; her sisters, Theresa Moss of Hayesville, North Carolina and Debbie Grooms of Blairsville, Georgia; her aunts, Wanda Kirby of Hayesville, North Carolina, Windle Sue Coffey of Summerville, Georgia, Edna Mae Kirby of Young Harris, Georgia, and Gladys Green of Hayesville, North Carolina; a number of nieces and nephews, as well as a large group of friends, also survive Amy.
Amy liked a wide variety of interests while working as a Principal Project Manager at Health Partners. Some of her hobbies were yoga, dancing, movies, Jamaica, reading, wonderful cuisine, friends and family, the Pittsburgh Steelers, throwing parties, gin gimlets, and life in general. She was known by the moniker “Chemo Chick.” Amy Kirby’s spouse of 18 years, Chris Kirby, is the only person who will remember her before she passes away.
