Amon Kevone Harvey Obituary, Death; – A 21-year-old man has died following a shooting incident that occurred early in the morning in Americus, leading to a homicide investigation and a citywide manhunt for the suspect.
The Americus Police Department (APD) reported that at approximately 12:50 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, officers were sent to a residence in the 100 block of Glory Court after receiving a shooting report. Upon their arrival, they found a male victim inside the home with gunshot wounds.
The victim, Amon Kevone Harvey, 21, from Americus, received emergency first aid at the scene before being transported to Phoebe Sumter Regional Medical Center. He was subsequently airlifted to a trauma center in Macon, where he later died from his injuries.
The suspect has been identified as Kentravious Lemond Holmes, 20, also from Americus. Holmes is currently wanted on charges of felony murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
