Alton Kelly Death – The authorities are currently in search of the individual responsible for a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred in Southeast, D.C. on Wednesday. Tragically, the collision resulted in the death of a man and caused injuries to his wife. At approximately noon on June 12, a white Ford Taurus with dark tinted windows was observed traveling eastbound on Alabama Avenue in Southeast before crossing Naylor Road.
As the vehicle reached the intersection, it struck a 62-year-old man who was walking his wife across the crosswalk. Shockingly, the driver did not stop and continued driving eastbound, dragging the man beneath the car and through a parking lot. Regrettably, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The deceased individual has been identified as Alton Kelly, a 62-year-old resident of Southeast. His wife received medical attention for her injuries and is expected to recover. Detectives later located the vehicle involved in the collision. However, the driver remains at large. Images of the car can be viewed below:
