Allison Thomson Obituary, Death- After a courageous battle with cancer, our dear friend and colleague Allison Thomson passed away on Sunday. We break the news of her passing with heavy hearts and deep sorrow. She’d been a part of our group for a long time. Every person who had the good fortune to cross paths with Allison was forever changed by her example of undying bravery and grace in the face of adversity.
Allison was a vital member of our team, and she contributed a great deal in terms of both time and expertise. A few weeks ago, she reached a major milestone when the beautiful purse she made received the best handicrafts trophy at the Nairn show.
Her exceptional inventiveness and dogged dedication have led to this success. She felt pure joy at that particular time because she had never been honored in such a way before.
Allison brought much more to the table than only her artistic talents throughout the previous year to our team. She committed many hours to the arduous task of taking minutes at our meetings, ensuring that we had complete and accurate records of everything discussed.
Her commitment to her work was unparalleled, and as a result, she was held in the highest esteem by her peers.
Allison’s presence brightened our lives because of her warmth, kindness, and infectious energy. Her positive spirit will remain in our hearts, reminding us of the resilience and determination she showed throughout her life.
We cordially invite you to join Allison’s family and friends in her funeral service on Tuesday, September 19 at 2:00 p.m. at David M. Ellen’s Chapel, located at 115 Grantown Road in Nairn.
Allison’s husband Sandy has asked that everyone attend the funeral in bright, happy colors rather than black ties as a way to celebrate Allison’s zest for life. The most up-to-date information and other details surrounding David M. Ellen’s funeral can be found on his Facebook page.
We will remember Allison Thomson via the stories we tell, the gifts she left us, and the love she offered to all of us forever. We will mourn her dearly, yet always keep her in our hearts. I hope she is able to find the peace she so many needs.
