Alice F Hamilton Obituary, Death; – The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into a fatal accident that resulted in the death of an elderly woman on the evening of January 5. The deceased has been identified as 78-year-old Alice F. Hamilton. The incident occurred at approximately 10 p.m. in the 20300 block of Pride-Baywood Road.
As reported by the sheriff’s office, Hamilton was traveling westbound on Pride-Baywood Road when, for reasons yet to be determined, her vehicle veered off the right side of the road and into a ditch. Deputies indicated that the vehicle struck a culvert within the ditch, leading to a sudden halt.
Authorities confirmed that Hamilton was pronounced dead at the scene, and the coroner’s office will investigate whether a medical condition contributed to the accident. At this time, there is no indication of impairment. It has been confirmed that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
