Alexander Aguilar-Larios Death – The Los Angeles Police Department has identified the individual who was fatally shot by officers after attempting to evade a traffic stop in Pacoima. Alexander Aguilar-Larios, 21, was shot by police following a pursuit on Tuesday night.
Police stopped a BMW sedan for a traffic violation in the area of Lehigh Avenue and Carl Street around 9 p.m. Aguilar-Larios, who was a passenger in the vehicle, fled the scene on foot through a housing development while armed with a handgun.
After stumbling to the ground, he got back up still holding the firearm, and tried to escape, resulting in officers firing at him. Aguilar-Larios was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the BMW also fled and remains at large. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the LAPD.
