It is with a heavy heart and great regret that we convey this news. Georgia Staikos (née Nakopoulos) and Nickolas Staikos welcomed their son Alex into the world on July 28, 1977 in Dover, New Jersey. Following his graduation from Dover High School in 1995, he went on to study at St. Peter’s University in Jersey City, New Jersey. He was born and raised in Dover, New Jersey.
Many people counted Alex as a devoted husband, father, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was also a brother. He treasured the time he got to spend with his loved ones and friends. Alex, a loving and devoted father, felt an overwhelming sense of pride for his daughter, Georgina. His wide-open heart, laid-back demeanor, and magnetic personality endeared him to everyone who had the good pleasure to know him. In addition to leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth, Alex’s disappearance has left a hole in the hearts of everyone who was grateful for his presence. May his memories stay with us forever.

Alex, who was born on May 22nd, 1996 in Boston, Massachusetts, brought passion and wonder to everything he was involved in from a very young age due to his early involvement. He accepted the role as the world’s greatest hugger throughout his whole life, touching the lives of countless people with his loving heart and open arms. Alex’s capacity to connect with people from all walks of life was exceptional, and he loved without condition the people he encountered throughout his trip regardless of their background.
Despite the fact that it is difficult for us to part ways, we acknowledge the tremendous bravery and strength that Alex exhibited on a daily basis. The emotional struggles that he went through in the last years of his life provided as a reminder of the resiliency that he possessed, and they continue to educate us how to remain strong in the face of adversity. Alex was a quiet and introspective individual who was always looking for inner peace and harmony. At least, that was the case until you got him talking about subjects like computers or physics.
The stillness of his own company or the company of his cherished cats, June and Copper, provided him with the consolation he sought when he was alone. His quest of Zen was a trip that lasted his entire life, and he had the opportunity to discover it amid the comforting company of nature. Among the various interests that he pursued, he found that tending to his cherished plants in his own personal Eden provided him a tremendous sense of joy and calm. Leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and acceptance is what Alex leaves behind. We will never forget his unflinching capacity to embrace others with compassion and his contagious warmth. His legacy will live on forever. Even though we are saddened by his passing, let us not forget to rejoice in the wonderful life he lived and the influence he had on each of our lives.
