Ahmed F. Ahmed, Obituary, Death; – Virginia State Police provided further information on the Surry County crash that resulted in the death of a pedestrian on July 2. The victim was identified as Ahmed F. Ahmed, a 67-year-old resident of Surry. The tragic incident took place around 4 a.m. at Magnolia Circle, located just outside the town limits of Surry.
Ahmed was walking in the eastbound lane when he was struck by a 2015 Volkswagen Passat traveling east on Colonial Trail. Unfortunately, Ahmed succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the collision. It was noted that Ahmed was not wearing reflective clothing at the time of the accident. The driver of the Passat was unharmed. The authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
