Adam Schwartzel Wilmington NC Obituary, Death: A tragic death occurred while Sergeant Adam Schwartzel, who served with the Wilmington Police Department, was away from the city in Salemburg, North Carolina. He was there for the purpose of training.
Since he was originally sworn in on July 15, 2002, SGT. Schwartzel has been an important member of the Wheeling Police Department (WPD) and a friend to a great number of people. Over the course of more than twenty years, he has prioritised service over his own interests and has been an invaluable member of this community. During the period that he has been employed by our organisation, he has, among other things, served in a variety of capacities, including patrol, the traffic unit, and the first supervisor of our Virtual Response Unit.
There has been no announcement made on the funeral arrangements at this time; however, we will continue to keep the public updated as we obtain any information. It is a tragedy for everyone involved. As they mourn his loss with his brothers and sisters in blue, we offer our prayers and sympathies to the family of SGT. Schwartzel, as stated by Chief Donny Williams”
