Ackeem Chance Obituary, Death; – The police have fatally shot an individual suspected of involvement in the murder of five men in Rockfort, located in east Kingston, last October.
The shooting occurred during an alleged confrontation in Rollington Town at approximately 5 am on Tuesday, specifically on 8 Montaque Street. The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Ackeem Chance, also known as Lee.
According to reports, the police were conducting a targeted operation and approached a residence armed with a search warrant. It is alleged that the police announced their presence, prompting a male and a female to exit the premises.
As per police accounts, upon entering the residence, the officers encountered Chance, who was reportedly armed. He allegedly aimed his firearm at the police, who then discharged their weapons, striking him.
Chance is said to have collapsed on the ground with the firearm still in his possession. He was subsequently transported by the police to Kingston Public Hospital, where he was declared dead. The police have stated that the firearm was examined and identified as a silver and black Ruger 9-millimeter pistol, equipped with a magazine containing five rounds of ammunition.
