In spite of the fact that Derek was a wonderful friend, he was an even more remarkable human person. He was singular among the other people. I, along with Colin and Mark, was present at the Awakening conference at the time that this shot was taken. Additionally, they were present. Quite a few years have passed since the photograph was taken.
Because of the love and friendship that we shared over the time that we worked together, my dear friend, you will be dearly missed, and I am grateful for the time that we spent working together.
