Tommy Williams Death: According to Toby Williams, Tommy Death, Gary, Indiana, former Railcars PA announcer Tommy Williams would yell whenever he wanted to draw the attention of the audience during a Gary SouthShore RailCats game that was being played at the U.S. Steel Yard in downtown Gary. In addition to covering sports at all levels in the Region, the public address announcer for the RailCats and sports journalist for Lakeshore Public Media was known for broadcasting a large number of games, conducting interviews with a large number of athletes, and covering sports at all levels.
