Willie Floyd Obituary, Death – With Rowena Jackson and Willie Floyd, Sr. as his parents, Willie Vernon Floyd, who is now 82 years old and lives in Hampton, Virginia, was born on August 31, 1941. He passed away without any discomfort on January 21, 2024, in his residence. Willie was a member of the Male Chorus at Antioch Baptist Church in Hampton for a number of years, during which time he was a very active member of the church that he attended. Sunday School was something he attended with great enthusiasm, and he was a very supportive member of the Men’s Ministry.
Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #433, Old Capitol Excelsior Mizpah Lodge #4, and DAV Chapter 6 were some of the groups and organizations that Mr. Floyd was a dedicated member of. He found pleasure in a variety of activities, including fishing and cooking. Ping-Pong is the acronym. Some of my favorite things to do are watching tennis, spending time with my family, playing cards, listening to music, and watching movies.
After retiring from the United States Air Force after serving for thirty years, he worked at Northrop Grumman in St. Augustine, Florida, for a stretch of five years.
Willie Floyd, Sr., his mother Rowena Glass, his wife Shirley Floyd, and his brothers Francis Floyd and Melvin Glass all passed away before him. He was the only surviving member of his immediate family.
LaDonna Cruse, Dylan Floyd (Zena), Vernon Floyd (Terry), Djuana Floyd Scott (Ronnie), Melvin Floyd, and Tony Floyd are among the people who are left behind after his passing. He is survived by one brother, Jerome Glass.
