(Pete) Shaver, who was 78 years old, passed away in a calm and serene manner on Thursday morning, March 21, 2024, at the Kinzua Health Care and Rehabilitation Centre in Warren, Pennsylvania. On May 14, 1945, he was born in Warren, Pennsylvania. His parents, Frank Shaver and Ruth (Barnes) Shaver, both passed away before his birth.
Denny received his diploma from Warren High School in the year 1964. On December 23, 1965, he wed the woman who would become the love of his life, Mary Kay (Laih), at the location that was formerly known as St. Clara’s Roman Catholic Church in Clarendon. After that, Denny went on to dedicate his life to serving his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
In the years following his return to his hometown, he worked as a welder for the Struthers Wells Company until his retirement. Denny was a reserved individual who delighted in the company of other people. In addition to being a member of the Sheffield Rod and Gun Club for a significant amount of time, he was also a life member of the Clarendon VFW. Everyone who had the honour of knowing and loving Denny will miss him tremendously and remember him fondly.
This includes his wife, his daughter and son-in-law, as well as his very close friends and neighbours. Mary Kay Shaver, Denny’s wife of 58 years, who lives at home; his daughter Kelly and her husband Bill Martin, who live in Warren; and Denny’s brother Steven Shaver and his wife Pam, who also live in Warren, are the people who are left behind to love Denny’s memories. In addition, he is survived by a large number of nieces and nephews.
His parents, a sister named Susan Littlefield, and a brother named David Shaver all passed away before him. On Sunday, March 24, 2024, from one to two o’clock in the afternoon, the Borden Funeral Home in Sheffield, Pennsylvania will be the location where Denny’s family will be present to greet family and friends.
