Jerry and Ethel, Gary’s parents, as well as his daughter Deanna, passed away before Gary was born. Gary was a passionate golfer and curler athlete. Prior to that, he had also worked for the Urban Search and Rescue Unit. Over the course of his life, he has amassed a large number of friends and has lived his life to the fullest, both before and after he retired. Both his work as a volunteer lock keeper and his work assisting with yacht deliveries, which took him to a variety of locations all over the world, were two of his favorite things to do. He had a passion for his road bike and was in good enough shape to be able to ride it from Castle to Coast to Castle with his friends in order to raise money for a charitable organization.
Gary was a frequent participant at David Lloyd Gym, where he gained a large number of acquaintances. In addition, he enjoyed going on long walks, not only in the vicinity of the town of Bransby, but also throughout the United Kingdom, with me attempting to keep up with him the majority of the time. The many vacations and fun moments we shared with our friends brought us all over the world and provided us with priceless memories. Both he and I found pleasure in these experiences. Gary had a deep gratitude for life and enjoyed it to the fullest until his sickness took hold.
He heroically endured his sickness for a considerable amount of time, but unfortunately, in the end, it was too much for his body to bear, and he passed away gently with his wife and a close friend by his side. Without him, life will not be as full as it was before, and he will be missed by everyone who had the opportunity to spend time with him. It was a big love for him.
