Miami Hotel Shooting17th Street FT, Lauderdale FL- Fort Lauderdale was the location of a shooting that took place on Thursday morning, which resulted in the injury of a law enforcement officer. A significant number of police enforcement officials and a special weapons and tactics team gathered together in the parking garage area of a Holiday Inn Express that is situated on SE 17th Street, just west of the causeway.
Although the officer sustained injuries, it was determined that they were not believed to be life-threatening, and he was brought to Broward Health Medical Center. A number of the hotel’s guests, as reported by Ted Scouten of CBS News Miami, have remarked that they are uncertain about the situation that is now going place. They asserted that they were escorted to a room and let to make themselves at home in that room.
Apparently, they were informed that there had been a shooting, which may have included a law enforcement officer. They said that they were notified of this. Among the guests at the hotel, there was one who voiced her amazement. “While I went downstairs to meet with all of the officers, he remained to remain inside.” A further point to consider is that as soon as he entered the building, he became aware of the gunshot holes, and at that precise moment, they started to force him into a room. She made the statement, “I was out here, and people were telling me that there was an active shooter inside.”
