Sean Spangenberg Obituary, Death – A sudden and unexpected death occurred on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Albany Medical Center for Sean A. Thomas, who was 46 years old and from Amsterdam, New York. On the 17th of December in 1977, Sean Thomas was born in Amsterdam, New York to his parents, Walter and Peggy (Going) Thomas. Over the course of his whole life, he was a resident of Amsterdam and attended Amsterdam High School. Following his graduation from high school, Sean embarked on a career that would last him his entire life: becoming a craftsman. Sean held a variety of jobs, including those of a mechanic, welder, electrician, plumber, and carpenter.
He had a wide range of skills and was always prepared to volunteer his assistance to those who were in need. Over the course of twenty years, Sean was in a relationship with Nicole Cadwell, the woman he considered to be the love of his life. They are the parents of six children, and together they have established a home that is filled with love and joy. Due to the fact that Sean was always prepared to have a good time, he was consistently referred to as the “Life of the Party.” He treasured the time he got to spend with his numerous friends and family members, as well as playing darts. In addition, he had a deep appreciation for the natural world and frequently took his family away on camping trips.
At the same time, Sean had a large number of friends from all over the world. There was always someone who recognized Sean, no matter where he went. He always treasured the friends he gained along the way, and he loved them as if they were his own family. Both of his parents, his father Walter Thomas, and his sister Shannon Anne Thomas, passed away before he was born. Mohlar and Lucille Giles, Stanley, and Inez Phillips, his brother Chuck Giles, and Betty Aikens all passed away before him. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Julie Smith Giles; his children and spouses: Alexis Turbeville, who is married to Josh and lives in Vicenza, Italy; Hunter Giles, who is married to Paige and lives in Lenoir City; his grandchildren, Huck, Stella, Nicolas, Noah, Duke, and Cora; his father and mother, Ralph and Gipsy Giles; his brother, Poynor Giles, who is married to Tammy; and his grandchildren.
