CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after a crash that is shutting down a north Charlotte road, according to Charlotte Mecklenburg Police.
The incident was first reported after 6 a.m. on Friday on Sunset Road near Peachtree Road.
The Mecklenburg EMS Agency (Medic) says a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and that person was taken to Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Sunset Road is closed in both directions at Peachtree Road. Authorities have not said what led up to the crash or if any charges are expected.
