CHARLOTTE (PINPOINT WEATHER) — Tuesday starts off cold, as clear skies and light winds have allowed temperatures to bottom out in the 30s this morning. The sunrise will be at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning and we’ll see some significant warming from the morning into the afternoon.
Winds will flow out of the southwest between 5 and 10 miles per hour as temperatures climb into the low 70s. Sunny skies will dominate, which will help keep us above normal for Tuesday but these dry and slightly windy conditions will also play into an increased fire danger through mid-week.

Tuesday night dips into the 40s, making for a chilly start to Wednesday. The upper 70s will settle in for Hump Day ahead of an approaching cold front from the west. Thursday brings more cloud cover and near-normal temperatures for the second half of the work week.
Rain chances return on Thursday as temperatures slide back into the 60s. Rain will likely start in the morning and taper off by the afternoon, with dry conditions on tap for Friday. We’ll finish off the work week with mid-60s and mostly sunny skies.

This weekend will be back in the 70s with low rain chances on Saturday. We’ll be mostly dry to end the weekend before the upper 60s and showers kick off next week.
Tuesday: Mostly Sunny and Warm. High: 72.
Tuesday Night: Mostly Clear and Chilly. Low: 43.
