(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Good Saturday morning and welcome to the weekend!
We have another split weekend on our hands, with Saturday being the best day for outdoor activities by far!
Temperatures are starting in the 50s this morning, while a few areas of fog have developed. Expect mostly cloudy skies and breezy conditions throughout the day.

Even with the clouds, temperatures will still rise well into the 70s today, as a strong and warm southwest breeze settles in. No issues for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Other than a consistent breeze and a stray shower, the Charlotte FC game should have no problems tonight. Temperatures will remain in the 70s for the game this evening.

Sunday is a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day due to the threat of severe storms late Saturday night and through Sunday morning.
Expect weather conditions to change quickly overnight and into Sunday morning, as a strong cold front moves into the region. This cold front will bring a strong to severe line of storms with it, which will likely produce damaging wind gusts of 60 mph or higher to start our Sunday.
This could lead to downed trees, power outages, and damaged structures. Strap down any seasonal inflatables or seasonal decorations you may have outdoors.

Other threats that will come with the line of storms Sunday morning include large hail and tornadoes. Have several ways to get weather alerts and weather information through tonight and Sunday morning.

The line of storms will move east by noon Sunday, however, a few more scattered showers and storms could develop during the later afternoon and evening hours. These will likely not be severe, as the atmosphere will be pretty worked over by then.
High temperatures will still rise to around 70 degrees Sunday afternoon, even after the main line of storms passes by.

We will stay windy through the day on Sunday. Even after the severe line of storms moves east, winds will still gust between 25-35 mph during the Sunday afternoon hours across the entire region, before settling down some into the evening on Sunday.
Conditions will improve on Monday. Drier weather, but cooler. High temperatures will only be in the upper 50s and low 60s for Monday afternoon. A bit breezy through the start of the work week as well.
Warmer temperatures return for Tuesday, with high temperatures rising back into the 70s and dry weather remaining in place!
