Jason Michael White Obituary, Death; – A suspect is in custody, and a man has lost his life following a deadly road rage incident in Fort Worth on Thursday morning.
According to Fort Worth police, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3600 block of NE 28th Street around 8:40 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 9:25 a.m. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified him as 45-year-old Jason Michael White.
A witness informed the police that they were traveling with White when they encountered a road rage situation with another driver on 28th Street. The witness recounted that White was about to enter a business parking lot when the other driver pulled alongside and discharged multiple rounds into their vehicle.
Following the shooting, the assailant fled the scene; however, law enforcement located the vehicle shortly thereafter, leading to the apprehension of a person of interest. This individual has not yet been publicly named but has been arrested, as confirmed by Fort Worth police. No charges have been disclosed, and it remains uncertain whether the suspect has secured legal representation.
Authorities have not provided additional information, including the events leading up to the shooting. Fort Worth police stated that homicide detectives are currently overseeing the ongoing investigation.
