Jackie McElrath Obituary, Death; – The Ashland Police Department is conducting an investigation into a homicide on behalf of the Lineville Police Department. The victim has been identified by the Clay County coroner as Jackie McElrath, who suffered a fatal stab wound to the chest.
The incident occurred on the morning of Sunday, March 9, in Lineville. Officials have stated that this incident did not involve any police officers; however, there is a connection between one of the individuals involved and a Lineville Police officer.
Ashland Police Chief Joseph Stanford has indicated that the investigation is ongoing, and authorities are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the death.
