Daniel Cruces Obituary, Death; – A man has been apprehended by law enforcement in relation to a deadly hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a 30-year-old father while he was crossing an intersection last year. Joel Sac Tambriz, aged 25, was taken into custody on March 10, facing a charge of collision resulting in death. The incident occurred on June 9, 2024.
The collision took place in Arlington, although Tambriz was located in Victoria, which lies approximately 30 miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico, south of Houston and Austin. Officers responded to the scene around 2 a.m. and discovered Daniel Cruces, 30, lying in the street, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Civic fled the scene. Subsequently, investigators located the abandoned vehicle approximately half a mile away.
Inside the deserted car, authorities discovered documents and a mobile phone belonging to Tambriz.
