Maria Domitila Nolasco Martinez,Jose Rodrigo Yanes Barahona, Obituary, Death; – An elderly woman and a young boy lost their lives after being struck by a train in the vicinity of the 700 block of Drew Avenue NE on Sunday, March 9, as reported by the Roanoke Police Department.
Authorities indicated that both the woman and the boy were unable to react swiftly enough to evade the oncoming train. The deceased woman has been identified as Maria Domitila Nolasco Martinez, aged 69, a resident of Roanoke. The young boy has been identified as Jose Rodrigo Yanes Barahona, aged 9, also from Roanoke.
