He died on Monday 2nd October 2023 at his residence in Riebeek-Kasteel at the age of 77. He was confirmed dead through a post shared on social media by Smile90.4 FM that says “The actor George Ballot, known for his role as Skollie in the TV drama Vyfster, was found dead in his home in Riebeek-Kasteel on Monday. It is suspected that he had a heart attack or aneurysm. He was 77”.
