Tenise McCray Obituary, Death – Tenise McCray, a best friend since junior high, has left on her ultimate adventure. Our lives intertwined for the first time during those formative teenage years, and our friendship has endured ever since. I’ll never forget the way you handled the jitters during cheer tryouts with your own brand of elegance and beauty.
Your charming, sincere nature left an indelible impression on everyone who was lucky enough to know you. Together, as members of the Class of 1999, we experienced those formative years and made experiences that will last a lifetime. From attending the same English lessons to setting out to different universities together, Tenise and I had innumerable exciting experiences.
Together, at Sanders Park, we entered the field of education for the first time. We both decided to make a job change at the same time, further illustrating the synchronicity of our lives. As a symbol of the closeness we felt, I acted as a bridesmaid at her wedding. Tenise had a profound impact on my adolescence and young adulthood, and she will always hold a special place in my memory.
My thoughts and prayers are with her loving husband and cherished daughters during this time of loss. I saw firsthand how devoted she was as a wife and mother. Tenise, you will always be loved and adored in our minds and hearts. We regret to inform you that Alumni CheChe Tenise McCray has left the organization.
Tenise, a dedicated member of the Dillard University Class of 1999 and of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., has left behind a legacy of friendship, joy, and love. Our hearts go out to her and her loved ones, sorority sisters, classmates, and cheerleading teammates. Please accept our heartfelt sympathies on behalf of her husband and children.
