James Solger Obituary, Death; – Investigators in Glenview have confirmed the identity of the individual discovered deceased within a residence on Glenview Road on Sunday evening, classifying the cause of death as homicide.
According to the Glenview Police Department, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 0-100 block of Glenview Road shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Sunday for a welfare check, where they subsequently found a man deceased inside the home. It was later disclosed that the individual had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
On Tuesday afternoon, authorities identified the deceased as 61-year-old James Solger and confirmed that his death was a homicide. No further details have been made available.
Residents in the vicinity informed WGN News that they did not hear or observe anything unusual until the arrival of police lights on Sunday night. This incident is not the first of its kind in the neighborhood.
Earlier in 2023, a 38-year-old man from Glenview was fatally shot inside a home located in the 700 block of Long Road, an event that investigators believed to be a targeted attack.
