Sandra Clancy Obituary, Death- On September 19, 2023, at the age of 81, Sandra L. Clancy of Bradford passed away at the Bradford Manor. She was born in Bradford on September 13, 1942, to Harvey Newton and Ruth Keesler, both of whom have now passed away.
Sandra graduated from Bradford High School in 1960, laying the groundwork for a life rich in affection, humor, and unforgettable experiences. Sandra married the man of her dreams, Edward G. Clancy, on October 26, 1968, in Port Allegany. Their 46 years of marriage brought them immeasurable happiness, during which they raised their children and made numerous memories with one other’s families.
Sandra, also known as Sandy, worked as a housekeeper for Harriett Wick and at Zippo Manufacturing’s Intermediate Unit 9 in Glendorn over the course of her life. Everyone who knew her could attest to her outstanding work ethic. Sandy was a very spiritual and religious person.
Sandy, a warm and generous person, had an uncanny ability to make others laugh and bring a smile to their face. She loved playing cards and dominoes with her manor friends and other social activities that brought people together. Sandra’s three sons, Steven (Heather) Anderson (Auburn, GA), Shawn (Terri) Clancy (Duke Center, OH), and Eric Clancy (Bradford, AB), will miss her dearly.
mom 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews will always treasure the memories they have of mom. Her parents, Ed, her husband of 58 years, four sisters—Beth Rebon, Mary Jane Coldren, Barbara Frank, and Nancy Blum—and three brothers—Richard Newton, Lynn Newton, and Rodney Newton—preceded her in death. Sandra’s memorial service and celebration of life will be held at the Church of Christ on Saturday, October 21, 2023.
Guests are welcome from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., and the funeral service, led by the Rev. Rick Price, will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. Sandra’s last resting place will be next to her husband Ed in a serene burial service. The people who knew and loved Sandra will keep her spirit alive forever. Her strong faith, generosity, and ability to make others happy will be greatly missed. I pray that she finds peace at last.
