Shannon Mckruit Obituary, Death – We are passing on the news with heavy hearts on the sudden passing of Paramedic Shannon R. McKruit. Her death was unexpected. Her unanticipated passing has created a vacuum that can never be filled, and the entirety of our community is in deep mourning over the great loss she has caused.
Not only was Shannon a very hard-working paramedic, but she was also a much-loved member of our first responder family. Her unflinching dedication to her position as EMS Manager at Eureka Fire-Rescue Station 281 made an impact on the lives of a great number of people. She brought a level of professionalism, compassion, and expertise to her work that was uncommon,
and as a result, she earned the respect and gratitude of those she served and worked alongside. In addition to the success she achieved in her professional life, Shannon was a treasured friend, a dependable supporter, and a motivator to everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. In our minds, she will always be remembered for her generous spirit, her unflinching commitment to assisting people, and her genuine goodness.
As we struggle to come to terms with the immensity of this loss, please accept our sincerest sympathies on behalf of the whole Shannon family and all of her close friends. I pray that the innumerable memories and times of shared laughter may provide them with some measure of comfort.
