Darius Holmes Obituary, Death; – A man has lost his life following a single-vehicle accident early Sunday morning in Horry County, as reported by the coroner’s office.
Sgt. Tyler Tidwell of the South Carolina Highway Patrol indicated that troopers were dispatched shortly after 2:08 a.m. to the scene on Highway 31, near Highway 707, where the incident occurred.
According to Tidwell, the vehicle was traveling south on Highway 31 when it veered off the road to the left, collided with a concrete barrier, entered the median, struck an embankment, and subsequently overturned.
The driver, identified by the Horry County Coroner’s Office as 31-year-old Darius Holmes, was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Holmes succumbed to his injuries as a result of the crash. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
